Ways of working

Over time, I’ve learned that the best creative partnerships are built on clarity, trust, and open communication. These notes outline how I work, not as rules, but as a shared framework designed to keep our collaboration smooth and focused. When expectations are clear from the start, we can spend our energy where it matters most: creating great work together

1. Bookings & Availability

Once we confirm a booking, whether that’s by day, week, or project. That time is reserved exclusively for your team. If plans need to shift, please provide at least five (5) business days’ notice so I can manage other commitments responsibly. Unless otherwise agreed, I plan my working days based on project flow and priorities.

For ongoing collaborations, either of us may end the engagement with fourteen (14) days’ written notice.
If a confirmed booking is cancelled with less notice, the reserved time remains payable, as it has been set aside for your team.

For new or long-term partnerships, I may request a deposit before work begins.

2. Communication & Collaboration

Good communication is essential for a successful project.
I’m primarily based in Berlin, usually working remotely during standard CET/CEST hours. Occasionally, I may work from a different timezone; in that case, we’ll schedule meetings at times that suit us both.

I stay connected via email (my main channel), video calls, or shared tools such as Slack. It helps to have a main point of contact on your side, someone who coordinates internally and provides consolidated feedback. I rely on receiving written, clear, timely feedback and necessary materials (briefs, assets, guidelines) to keep projects on schedule. Delays or major new input after a stage is approved may affect timing or require additional booked time.

3. Working Process

Workdays are structured around the type of work needed, for example, strategy, design execution, or coordination. Each deliverable typically includes three (3) rounds of revisions to refine the work effectively.
Further revisions or new requests can always be added as additional booked time.

Invoices are issued monthly, based on the actual work completed. Payment terms are outlined in each quote, with 14 days as a standard payment window.

4. Deliverables & Ownership

Final deliverables are provided in the agreed formats once the work is completed. Upon full payment, all rights to the final deliverables transfer to you. I may showcase non-confidential work in my portfolio or professional presentations, always with discretion and respect for your project. If third-party assets (such as fonts, stock imagery, or licensed materials) are required, those licenses are managed or reimbursed separately.

5. Confidentiality

All materials and information shared during our collaboration are handled confidentially and used only for the purpose of delivering the agreed work. I operate in full compliance with EU data protection (GDPR) standards and handle personal or project data with care and responsibility.

6. Quality & Responsibility

I approach every project with professionalism, care, and creative intent. While I can’t guarantee specific outcomes beyond what we agree in scope, I’m always committed to delivering quality work and finding solutions constructively if challenges arise.

7. Travel & On-Site Work

If in-person collaboration is required outside Berlin, we’ll confirm travel plans, working days, and related expenses in advance. Travel days count as booked workdays, and reasonable travel and accommodation costs are covered by the client.

8. Unexpected Situations

If something outside either of our control, such as illness or major unforeseen events, affects timelines, we’ll communicate quickly and find a fair and practical adjustment together.

9. Final Notes

These principles are here to make collaboration smooth, transparent, and enjoyable. They’re not about restrictions; they’re about creating the best possible conditions for trust, focus, and great results. If anything ever feels unclear, I’m always happy to discuss and adapt together.
